Property worth lakhs attached in Bijbehara

Pulwama, Apr 2: As part of its intensified campaign against narcotics trafficking and with an aim to dismantle the financial network of the drug trade, Pulwama Police has attached a double-storied residential house valued at approximately ₹30,16,402 (Rupees Thirty Lakhs Sixteen Thousand Four Hundred Two only) situated at Waghama Bijbehara.

The attached property belongs to Athar Maqbool, S/o Mohd Maqbool Ganie, resident of Waghama Bijbehara. The property has been found to be illegally acquired through proceeds of narcotics trafficking and has been seized and attached under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act. The accused is involved in case FIR No. 03/2026 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Litter, reflecting his involvement in drug-related illegal activities.

This action forms part of Pulwama Police’s sustained efforts to curb drug peddling and dismantle the financial infrastructure sustaining the narcotics trade.

Pulwama Police reiterates its firm resolve to combat the drug menace and to take stringent legal action against individuals involved in narcotics trafficking, including targeting properties acquired through illicit means.
