Poor family rendered homeless, House damaged in fire mishap at Zainpora village

Shopian, Mar 10: A single-storey house of poor family was completely gutted in Mujmarg area of Zainpora in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.

Locals told ANN that Massive fire broke out from the residence of Muhammad Sidiq Wagay in Mujmarg, Shopian during night hours at around 12:00 AM and gutted completely.

Locals and Fire and emergency services department reached the spot and tried to douse off the flames but failed to prevent the house from suffering major damage.

However, there was no human loss or injuries reported so far.

The family said that they rendered homeless and demanded for compensation from the government.
