Police Slaps PSA On Drug Peddler In Qazigund

Drug peddlers will be dealt with strictly: SP Kulgam

Kulgam, June 27: Police on Thursday claimed that a notorious drug peddler was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

SP Kulgam, Gurinder Pal Singh told KNO that few days ago police arrested a drug peddler Fida Hussain Bhat son of Mohammad Akram Bhat of Churat Qazigund.

“PSA has also been slapped against him. More than one dozen drug peddlers have been booked under PSA so far and are languishing in different jails of Jammu and Kashmir,” he told KNO. He said that the persons involved in drug peddling will be dealt with strictly.

Meanwhile, Qazigund residents hailed the steps taken by police against menace of drug peddling in the area. (KNO)
