Police register FIR against Facebook page in Shopian for circulating sensitive content
SRINAGAR (KIMS) — Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday registered a First Information Report (FIR) against a Facebook page in Zainapora area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Police in a statement said Shopian Police took cognizance of a viral video circulated through a Facebook page titled “Voice of Humanity”, in which a speech was delivered encouraging separatist tendencies and activities aimed at disturbing peace and public tranquillity.
In this connection, FIR No. 109 of 2025 has been registered at Police Station Zainapora, and an investigation has been set into motion.
Shopian Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and public order, stating that firm legal action will continue against those attempting to disturb harmony or misuse social media platforms. — (KIMS)
