Police organises drug de-addiction seminar in Ganderbal

November 17: Police in Ganderbal organised drug de-addiction seminar at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Khurhama in which Doctors, Teachers, respectable Citizens, Community Members, Majid Imams, Social Activists & Students participated with huge fervour & enthusiasm.

At the onset of the seminar, Miss Sobiya Shabir, Social Worker Special Cell for Women PS Kheerbawani & Students of various Schools delivered lectures about the catastrophic causes & consequences of drug menace. The panel of doctors present in the seminar also appraised the audience with psychological & social aspects of drug addiction. They talked about socio-economic, physiological and psychological causes & its preventive measures. The teachers, religious scholars also thrown light on this burning issue & audience present in the seminar were encouraged to adopt positive approaches in eliminating drug abuse from the society.

On the occasion, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal also spoke about the grave issue of drug addiction. He encouraged the participants to refrain from this severe menace & stated that J&K Police is always on toes to eradicate drug menace & ready to help the youth in promoting sports. At the conclusion of the seminar, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS distributed mementos among the speakers & presented vote of thanks.
