Police orders inquiry after its vehicle used to distribute food packets at BJP’s Anantnag rally

Srinagar: Police on Saturday ordered inquiry and attached the driver of police vehicle which was deployed to distribute food packets in a BJP rally in Anantnag on Saturday.

A police handout said that the vehicle in was deployed for ferrying escort personnel of a protected person.

“The vehicle has been withdrawn from said protected person and driver of the vehicle has been attached. Enquiry into the matter has been ordered under rules,” it added.
