Police arrests 04 persons, seizes 04 vehicles in Budgam
November 21: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police have arrested 04 persons and seized 04 vehicles in Budgam.
A police party of Police Station Chadoora during night patrolling seized 04 vehicles (01 JCB Machine, 03 Tippers) and arrested 04 persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from government land at two separate locations at Nowpora Chadoora and Magraypora Chadoora. The arrested persons have been identified as Javaid Ahmed Sheikh son of Ab Rasheed Sheikh & Bilal Ahmad Sheikh son of Gh Rasool Sheikh, both residents of Nowpora Chadoora, Umeed Ahmed Wani son of Mohd Ibrahim Wani resident of Pahroo Chadoora and Ajaz Ahmed Bhat son of Bashir Ahmed Bhat resident of Wanpora Chadoora.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 190/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Chadoora and investigation taken up.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
