Police arrest 06 persons, seized 06 vehicles in Kulgam
May 20: To curb the menace of illegal mining, Police in Kulgam have seized 06 vehicles (03 Tippers, 02 Tractors & a Dumper) & arrested 06 persons involved in extraction & transportation of minerals from river Vaishow and other Nallahs.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Qaimoh and Police Station Devsar and investigations have been initiated.
People are requested to come forward or Dial-112 regarding any information about illegal extraction of minerals. Police warns stringent action as per law against those whosoever found involved in such activities.
