PM Modi spoke to Dr Naveed Nazir Shah in Mann Ki Baat
SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his monthly radio programme Mann Ki Baat spoke to head of department of Chest Disease hospital Srinagar Dr Naveed Nazir about his suggestions and ways for panic management during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Dr. Naveed tells PM: “If we adhere to protective measures, such as wearing masks, using hand sanitizers…beyond that, if we maintain physical distance & avoid social gathering, we can carry on with our daily work & keep ourselves protected from this infection too.”
Dr. Naveed who is also valley’s leading pulmonologist tells PM Modi: 0From 1st May, vaccine administration programme will begin for those above 18 yrs across the country. It’s an appeal to people that come & get vaccinated, protect yourselves, by which our society & community will be protected from Corona.”
Dr. Naveed tells PM Modi: “Currently, there are 2 vaccines available in India Covaxin & Covishield. Other companies too who have done their trials have found that their efficacy is more than 60%
In Jammu Kashmir 15 to 16 lakh people have taken the vaccine to date.”
He also tells Modi: “Quite a few misconceptions or myths about this have come up on social media enumerating the side effects … till now, in our place, no side effects have been found in vaccines that have been administered.”
Dr Naveed further tells PM: “We observed that 90-95% of Covid patients recovered without medication.”
