Srinagar, April 29: In a recent uproar, Physicswalla Rajbagh, a private coaching centre, finds itself embroiled in controversy following the circulation of a purported video depicting inappropriate content being shown to students.

The video purportedly reveals a teacher playing obscene scenes in the presence of both male and female students, alongside the use of unparliamentary language.

The purported video swiftly made rounds on social media, sparking widespread outrage and calls for decisive action against the coaching centre.

Concerned individuals have taken to various online platforms, demanding the closure of the establishment in light of the disturbing revelations.

“The incident has reignited discussions surrounding the importance of maintaining ethical standards within educational institutions and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students,” said a group of parents.

“Authorities are expected to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain the veracity of the allegations and to address any potential lapses in oversight or misconduct,” they added.

An educationist said that as the public awaits further developments, the controversy serves as a stark reminder of the responsibilities entrusted upon educational institutions to uphold moral integrity and prioritize the well-being of their students.

“It has come to our attention that the viral video circulating online has been morphed and does not accurately represent the events as they occurred. We urge caution in drawing conclusions based solely on manipulated footage,” said an executive of Physicswalla while responding to ANN News query.

“The teacher in question was terminated approximately two months ago due to disciplinary issues observed in the classroom. The termination was executed in accordance with our strict policies, including the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) policy, which underscores our commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment,” it added.

“Furthermore, it is important to note that since the termination of the teacher, they are no longer affiliated with Physicswallah. Any actions or affiliations they may have post-termination are beyond our purview and responsibility,” it added.
