Phase-II DDC, Panchayat by-Polls: 36 Polling parties dispatched for Ramnagri, Kanjiullar

Shopian: District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, today dispatched polling parties to Ramnagri and Kanjiullar in connection with phase II of eight phase District Development Council(DDC) elections and Panchayat by-polls.

The polling parties left here from District Administrative Complex SHopian in presence of District Panchayat Election Officer, Zonal and Sectoral Magistrates, besides officers of civil administration and Police remained present on the occasion.

The DPEO informed that 36 polling parties were dispatched to Ramnagri and Kanjiullar blocks in advance so that they can reach on time to their respective locations. He further added that a adequate number of security personnel have been deployed along with polling parties.

He appealed the general public of the District to actively participate in the election process and make it a grand success for strengthening of grass root democracy.
