Tahir Syed, spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has resigned from his position and ended his decade-long association with the party.
Announcing his resignation, Syed expressed his sentiments, stating, “With a heavy heart, I end my ten years of association with J&K PDP. I wish Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba and the party all the very best.”
In an emotional statement that reflects his inner turmoil, Tahir Syed shared a poignant line, “Tere badalne ka dukh nahin hai mujhe, Main toh mere yaqeen pe sharminda hun” (I am not saddened by your change; I am ashamed of my own belief), indicating a deep sense of disillusionment and personal reflection regarding his departure.
Tahir Syed’s resignation marks a notable moment for the PDP, as he has been a prominent figure within the party for the past decade. His decision comes at a time when the party is navigating through challenging political dynamics in Jammu and Kashmir.
While Syed did not elaborate on the specific reasons for his resignation, his statement hints at a profound disconnect between his expectations and the current direction of the party. His departure adds to the list of recent resignations and changes within the PDP.
