PDP expelled leader for making “anti-party” comments in Live Tv show
Srinagar, Sep 5: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Saturday expelled its
leader Er Nazir Yatoo from the basic membership of party for making
“anti party” comments during live TV show.
Yatoo appeared in famous primetime live Tv show Saath Se Aath Mudasir
Yaqoob Ke Saath on 27 July, this year wherein anchor of programme asked him hard questions.
During this live Tv show, Yatoo, to the questions of anchor, admitted
“PDP legislatures” failed to deliver on promises and were busy in “wealth making.”
The party issued him show-cause notice on 29 July, asking him to explain his conduct.
“This is with regard to the comments made by you during a TV programme
(Saath Se Aath Mudasir Yaqoob Ke Saath) telecasted on ANN News
Channel. The statement made by you while talking to Tv anchor were not only against the basic values of the party but were derogatory in nature,” reads show-cause notice, which went viral on social media.
Yatoo had filed a detailed reply to show-cause notice on 2 August, this year. However, not satisfied by his reply, the party announced his expulsion.
However, on its twitter handle, the party only said that Yatoo has been expelled for “anti-party activities.”
On 19 January, 2019, PDP had expelled one of the most influential PDP leaders, Altaf Bukhari from the party for “anti-party activities”.
