Pakistani Forces Planning to Kill Civilians in PoK to Crush Uprising: Shaukat Nawaz Mir
Muzaffarabad, PoK – October 1:
In a shocking revelation, Shaukat Nawaz Mir, leader of the Awami Action Committee in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has accused Pakistani security forces of plotting to kill local Kashmiris and civilians in a desperate attempt to suppress the ongoing civilian uprising against Islamabad’s rule.
Mir, while addressing supporters, alleged that the Pakistani establishment has become increasingly frustrated by the intensifying movement in PoK. He warned that the authorities may resort to violence and bloodshed to silence dissent.
“Pakistani security forces are planning to kill Kashmiris and innocent civilians in their desperation to crush this movement,” Mir said, appealing to the Kashmiri diaspora worldwide to raise their voices against Pakistan’s alleged plan and to support the oppressed people in PoK.
The Awami Action Committee has been at the forefront of recent protests in PoK, where locals have staged demonstrations against inflation, corruption, power shortages, and exploitation by Pakistani authorities. These rallies have increasingly turned into calls for greater autonomy and resistance against Islamabad’s control.
Mir urged international human rights organizations and the global community to intervene before the situation escalates into what he described as “a massacre of civilians.”
This comes amid growing unrest in PoK, where residents accuse Pakistan of exploiting the region’s resources while denying basic rights and freedoms.
