Pakistan Election Result 2024 : Imran Khan Urges US Intervention
In the latest development following the contentious Pakistan Election Results 2024, jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan has called upon the United States to address concerns regarding the transparency of the polls. Khan emphasized, “America acts like the voice of democracy in the whole world, but both the US and Europe have maintained silence on rigging in the elections in Pakistan.”
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared plans for nationwide protests on February 17 to protest against alleged election rigging, as reported by Dawn. Despite PTI’s efforts, a coalition government is set to form with PML-N and PPP, with Shehbaz Sharif poised as Prime Minister and Asif Ali Zardari as President, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan.
