Over 100 volunteers from CRPF donated blood in Srinagar

Srinagar, Aug 1: Over one hundred volunteers from 79 Central Reserve police Force (CRPF) battalion on Monday donated blood during the blood donation camp organized by in collaboration with Red Cross society and blood Bank, Srinagar (J&K).

 

“In this noble work more than 100 volunteers from officers and men of 79 battalion CRPF have stepped forward to donate the blood,” said an official.

 

 

He added that Mathew A John, DIG Range Srinagar (South) and Dr Abdul Salam Mir, JKAS, Hon. General Secretary, Indian Red Cross society (J&K) have kindly consented to be the Chief guest and the Guest of honour respectively of this event at Amar Singh Club(Srinagar). Various social dignitaries of Srinagar also joined this mega campaign and appreciated the efforts of the Force for it prodigious work.

 

In past also, 79 battalion CRPF have undertaken various activities like plantation campaign, Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, Antidrug initiatives, ILAMY- Rojgar (guiding youths for various competitive exam) and many such other Civic Action Program for the welfare of People of Jammu and Kashmir.

 

“Today’s Blood donation camp has been successfully organized under the sincere guidance of Sri Kishore Kumar, Commandant  79 Battalion assisted by Vishwa Deep Singh, 2ndin Command, Sh Avigyan Kumar, Dy Comdt, Sh T P Singh, Dy Comdt, Dr Tufail Anjum Reshi, GDMO and all the ranks of 79 Bn CRPF.”

 

“This force is grateful to Md Imran Muzaffar, Programme Manager, Indian Red Cross Society, Srinagar(J&K) and his team for their proactive approach to this social cause without whose sincere support, this campaign would not have been successful,” said an official.
