One person killed, four inured in Doda road accident

Doda: One person lost his life, while four others were injured in a road accident near Puneja area of Doda district, which occurred on Friday morning.

Officials told CNS that they were travelling in an ill fated vehicle having registration no. JK17-1659, which turned turtle near Puneja area of the district, resulting in death of a passenger, while four others sustained injuries.

The deceases was identified as Javed Ahmed S/O Bashir Ahmed Sheikh R/O Chiralla Doda, while the injured were identified as Betab Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed, Titi Begum and Tasleema Begum, all residents of Chiralla Doda

All the victims were rushed to nearby medical facility, where one among them Javed Ahmed was declared brought dead, while four others were referred to District Hospital Doda, where they are presently undergoing treatment.

Police has registered a case regarding the accident and has taken up the investigation into the matter.
