One among was involved in killing of 2 non local labour in Wanpoh: IGP

Srinagar: Two militants have been killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Devsar area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said on Wednesday.

LeT district commander (Gulzar Ahmd Reshi) of Kulgam and one other, who were involved in killings of two poor labourers from Bihar on 17/10/21 at Wanpoh killed in Devsar: IGP Kashmir.

Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army’s 9 RR and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation  on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.
