Omar welcomes closure of schools, opposes opening of tulip garden, demands uniform strategy against Covid-19 second wave
Srinagar: National Conference Vice President and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has welcomed shutting down of schools in view of the intensifying fresh strain of COVID-19 pandemic but has questioned the opening of tulip garden in Srinagar. He has also demanded a uniform strategy for fight against second wave of COVID-19.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site twitter Omar wrote “Shutting schools up to class 9 in Kashmir for a couple of weeks is the right thing to do but the contrast with the hands-off approach to the crowds of visitors at the tulip garden is too stark to be ignored. A well considered uniform strategy is needed for the 2nd wave of COVID.”(KNS)
