“When government has made mandatory for one and all to attend Republic Day functions in their respective districts, why these so called politicians that include former ministers, legislators including former MLC’s, protected persons, who are enjoying government accommodations for free or against paltry rent, prefer to stay at their cozy rooms, urging the administration led by LG Manoj Sinha to act fast and strictly against these politicians, who prefer to watch TV’s serials in their government accommodations in Srinagar and other districts of Kashmir.
BJP spokesperson said that these politicians are putting up in posh areas of Kashmir that include Jawahar Nagar, Tulsibagh, MLA hostel, and other secured places in Srinagar and rest of Valley.
“The question is why these politicians take the Republic Day functions lightly and prefer to stay indoors. Are they above the constitution and the law of the country? ,” the BJP JK spokesman said and urged the LG Sinha to constitute a team of officers who would seek answers from these politicians as to why they prefer to stay away from Republic Day functions, which is a brazen violation of Indian constitution.
