No Shortage Of LPG, 9000 Cylinders Kept At Bottling Plant, Says Dy Dir CAPD

Srinagar, Mar 08: Deputy Director of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD), Peerzada Zahoor Ahmad on Friday said there is no shortage of LPG and other essentials in Kashmir, saying that over two lakh cylinders have arrived Kashmir since February 27.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Ahmad said, “Adequate LPG cylinders are available. At least 9000 cylinders are kept at bottling plant in Pampore while as over 18000 LPG cylinders have been distributed among the distributors across Kashmir.”

He added that they had kept thousands of cylinders in bottling plant here but in view of highway closure, the cylinders were distributed so that the people don’t suffer.

Ahmad further stated that almost 89 trucks out of 600 are on way to Kashmir and will be arriving soon, therefore there are no crises of LPG at present.

He added they are getting the petroleum products on regular basis now as the only road connecting Valley with rest of the States was thrown open.(KNS)
