NMOPS Leadership calls on Chief Secretary J&K Atal Dullo(IAS)Advocates for Restoration of Old Pension Scheme
Jammu, December 03 : In a decisive move to address the concerns of employees working under the new pension scheme, the leadership of the National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS) met with Chief Secretary J&K UT Shri Atal Dullo (IAS) today here in jammu.
State President of NMOPS, M. Ashraf, accompanied by Chief Advisor Nitin Kalyan, Advisor Mir Bashir Ahmad,UT Coordinator M.Ibrahim ,District President Kathua, Sr leader Rafaqat Malik,District President NMOPS Badgam Farooq Ahmad ,presented a fervent plea for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). Flanked by his advisors, Ashraf emphasized the need for considering the implementation or extension of the family pension scheme to employees under the new pension scheme until a final decision on the abolition of NPS and restoration of OPS is reached.
During the meeting, President NMOPS, M. Ashraf, urged the Chief Secretary to inclusively consider employees appointed in 2009 but somehow joined in 2010, seeking equitable treatment for all members under the proposed changes.
The meeting, characterized by constructive dialogue, witnessed the Worthy Chief Secretary attentively listening to the delegation’s points and assuring thorough consideration of all aspects outlined in the memorandum.
As a symbol of their earnest appeal, the NMOPS delegation presented a memorandum to the Worthy Chief Secretary, expressing gratitude for his patient hearing and showing optimism that the pressing issue at hand would be resolved amicably.
