The cell was inaugurated by CID Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Nitish Kumar.

“Before some days LG sir has instructed to improve the public delivery system. On his directions, we launched grievance cell today where people can easy get their grievances redressed without running from pillar to post,” Kumar said, adding that same unit would set up in Jammu as well.
He added that CID is responsible for conducting verification when people apply for passports, contract licences or are appointed as government employee. “This grievance cell is here to listen their grievances, if any, and all grievances will be responded and disposed on merits within reasonable timeframe,” he said.
