NIA raids residence of fruit merchant in north Kashmir’s Pattan

Baramulla: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday carried out a raid at the residence of a businessman in Palpora village of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said that NIA sleuths raided the house of Ghulam Muhammad Mir, son of Ali Muhammad Mir, a fruit merchant, on Saturday morning. The search continued for several hours, he said.

Reports said that the agency later took the son of the house owner along with them. Further details are awaited.
