NIA raids continue in Kashmir, slain militant’s residence among places searched
Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths Friday raided multiple locations in Kashmir Valley in connection with case FIR no- RC-29/2021/NIA/DLI “hatching of conspiracy for undertaking violent terrorist acts in J-K and other major cities, by cadres of proscribed terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and their affiliates.”
Reliable sources told News agency Kashmir Dot Com that searches are being carried out in the residential house of slain militant Shahid Bashir Sheikh Son Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Karfali Mohalla Habbakadal. Shahid was killed in an encounter with security forces in South Kashmir’s Pulwama on 15 October.
They said the house of JKISIS slain militant Mugees Ahmad, son of Abdul Aziz resident of Parimpora, was also searched by the sleuths of NIA. Mugees was killed in the year 2017 in an encounter. The house of Tariq Ahmad Hajam, son of Mohammad Ramzan at Barthan Qamarwari, was also being searched by the NIA team.
Sources further said that in Anantnag, NIA searched the residence of Rouf Mohideen Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohideen Bhat, a resident of Bewora Srigufwara. The house of Abid Ahmad Ganie, son of Abdullah Ganie in Aung Matipora, was also searched by the sleuths of NIA.
In Chimmer Kulgam, searches were being carried out in the residence of Ishfaq Ahmad Naik, son of Abdul Ganie.
In the Kanjiullar village of Shopian, NIA searched the houses of Mohammad Younus Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Mohsin Rashid, son of Abdul Rashid Lone, and Imtiyaz Ahmad, son of Abdul Ahad Ahanger, sources added.
