NIA conducts raids at seven locations in J&K in case linked to IED recovery in Jammu
Srinagar: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday morning conducted raids at seven locations in Jammu and Kashmir in a case linked to IED recovery in Jammu.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that sleuths of NIA raided the residence of Mohammad Shafi Wani son of Abdul Gani, a resident of Lasjan-B jurisdiction of Police Station Pantha Chowk.
They said that NIA men searched the residence and later seized the mobile phones of Mohammad Shafi and his son identified as Rayees wani adding that Shafi was detained and taken to Police Station Panta-Chowk for further questioning.
They further said In Kulgam, NIA searched the residence of Waseem Ahmad Dar son of Nazir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Larm Ganjipora area of the district.
In Anantnag, searches were carried out in the residences of Bashir Ahmad Padder son of Ghulam Mohammad Padder (55), a resident of Bamnu Sadiwar by profession cattle business and is also the panch of ward no 4 and Shakir Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat, a resident of Nowpora Dooru, they added.
In Baramulla a raid is being conducted in the house of Ghulam Mohiud Din Wani son of Late Ghulam Mohammad Wani, a resident of Zandfaran Sheer who is said to be the class 4th employee in the Sericulture department.
Official sources said in Jammu division searches were carried out in Doda, Kishtwar.
NIA sources told Kashmir Dot Com that these searches were carried in connection with the June 27 case linked to IED recovery in Jammu. (KDC)
