New pulpit at Eidgah named after revered Saint Shah-e-Hamdan (RA)

Srinagar, Apr 05 : Chairperson of Waqf Board, Dr Darakshan Andrabi on Wednesday laid foundation stone of new pulpit at Eidgah, which has been named after sufi saint Hazrat Ameer-e-Kabir Mir Syed Ali Hamadani (RA) popularly known as Shah-e-Hamdan (RA).
Talking to reporters here, Andrabi after laying the foundation stone, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that there was a need to replace the old pulpit (mimber) with new one. “The new pulpit in the name of Shah-e-Hamdan (RA) is being constructed. The previous pulpit had to be replaced as it was not renovated for a long time,” she said.
She further said that the Eidgah has its historical significance and the Waqf Board after constructing a new pulpit, will renovate the ground as well.
The Waqf Chairperson also said that Eid prayers will be offered at Eidgah if the weather permits—(KNO)
