Nearly five shops gutted in midnight blaze in Ramban
Ramban: At least five shops were reduced to ashes in a massive blaze in Gandhri village market of Ramban district, officials said.
Officials told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that fire brokeout from one of the structure at around 11 PM in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday and engulfed other structures in its vicinity.
Reportedly few cylinders also exploded in the fire incident and all the establishments and structures, believed to be four or five in number, got gutted completely.
“Our loss assessment teams will rush to the area for examination.” said Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Musarrat Zia.
“Demands have been raised for sanctioning of additional fire tenders. We shall make an assessment and project demand soon,” Deputy Commissioner said, adding that reportedly five LPG cylinders exploded inside the shops. (KNO)
