NC Favours Governor’s Rule In J&K, Assures Full Support To Vohra
Srinagar, Jun 19: National Conference on Tuesday favoured Governor’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir.
Former CM and NC leader Omar Abdullah after meeting Governor NN Vohra said during a presser that his party won’t try to form the government.
“We had no mandate in 2014 to form the government and we have still no mandate for it,” Omar said adding “I told the governor to impose governor’s rule and I assured him full support of my party.”
“We are not talking to any party about the government formation nor did any party approach us,” Omar said.
Talking about pulling out of the coalition by BJP, Omar said “Mehbooba Mufti should have done it in advance in a dignified way.”
Pertinently, earlier in the day the BJP pulled out of the coalition with PDP in Jammu and Kashmir after which CM Mehbooba Mufti submitted her resignation to governor marking an end to the BJP-PDP government. (KR)
