Mumbai Indians Beat Chennai Super Kings By 1 Run, Win Their 4th IPL Title
Hyderabad: Mumbai Indians today claimed their 4th title after defeating Chennai Super Kings by 1 run in 12th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Earlier in the match, Chennai Super Kings’ leg-spinner Imran Tahir pipped compatriot Kagiso Rabada to emerge as the highest wicket-taker winning the coveted ‘Purple Cap’ in the Indian Premier League. Tahir picked up 26 wickets in 17 matches at a measly economy rate of 6.66.
Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma had won the toss and elected to bat in a high pressure final. Birthday boy Kieron Pollard, who turned 32, played a brilliant knock (41 off 25 balls) to help his side reach a respectable total of 149/8.
