Mughal Road, SSG Road Closed For Vehicular Movement Due To Fresh Snowfall

SRINAGAR — Authorities on Thursday informed that the historic Mughal road and Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari (SSG) road were closed in view of fresh snowfall. However, the vehicular movement was plying on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.

Officials said that both roads were closed for vehicular movement due to snow accumulation due to fresh snowfall in higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.

They said the the vehicular movement was plying on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway but the movement was slow because of nomadic herds between Chanderkot and Banihal.

The Meteorological Department (MeT) had forecasted sonowfall in higher reaches and rains in plains between October 18-20. — (KIMS)
