Motor Vehicle Department Budgam Hosts Free Medical/Eye Checkup Camp and Awareness Session as Part of Road Safety Month Celebration

Budgam, Feb 10 : As part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month Celebration, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) in Budgam organized a free Medical cum Eye Checkup Camp in collaboration with the Government Health Department. The event, held at the ARTO Office Budgam, aimed to promote road safety and ensure the well-being of drivers and conductors in the district.

The event witnessed the active participation of approximately 110 drivers, conductors, and members of the local community, who underwent meticulous screenings to assess their fitness levels. Conducted under the supervision of Worthy ARTO Budgam, Mrs. Mehnaz Chesti, and MVI Abid Hussain, along with other staff members of MVD Budgam, the comprehensive checkup was designed to identify any health concerns that could potentially compromise individuals’ ability to operate vehicles safely.

During the checkup sessions, individuals found unfit were provided with appropriate guidance and recommendations for further medical attention. The initiative aimed not only to address existing health issues but also to raise awareness about the importance of regular health checkups among drivers and conductors, ultimately contributing to enhanced road safety measures in the region.
