Mirwaiz pays tributes to Imam Abu Haneefa (RA)

Srinagar: Mutahida Majlis Ulama Chief Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq has paid glowing tributes to the Hazrat Imam Abu Haneefa (RA) on his passing away anniversary.

Terming the contribution of Imam Abu Haneefa (RA) toward Fiqah and Islamic jurisprudence as a shining light for the generations to come, Mirwaiz said Imam Azam (RA) spent his entire life making efforts for the understanding of religion to the common masses easy and gave them the credit for the clarity of thought on Fiqah and religion today.

Mirwaiz said the learning of Hazrat Imam Abu Haneefa (RA) attracted the attention of students and scholars.

Young and old and learned from him, Mirwaiz said, adding, it was the genius of Imam Abu Haneefa (RA) that he left behind a legacy of jurisprudence and the broadest principles that practically any jurist at any time and any place could use. (GNS)
