Militants ‘Thrash’ Cops In Shopian, Ask Them To Resign
Shopian: Militants on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday barged into the houses of three constables in South Kashmir’s Shopian district and warned them to leave their jobs.
Official sources said that three constables identified as Jahangir Wagay, Faizan Wagay, and Danish Bhat, all residents of Nad pora Shopian during the intervening night.
The trio were thrashed and asked to leave their jobs.
The official added that they were warned to face the consequences in case they didn’t adhere to their dictates.
These constables were recently promoted from SPO’s to the rank of constables. (KL)
