Militants slain in Hajin gunfight identified
Srinagar: Both the militants slain in Hajin encounter have been identified, Police said on Friday.
“Two militants known only by their alias’s as Ali and Hubaid of LeT outfit were killed in the Hajin encounter”, SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik said, adding both are foreigners.
According to the police the 10-year-old kid, Aatif, who was allegedly taken hostage was also killed.
He said, “the kid who was taken hostage by the trapped militants was killed by Ali, one of the longest-surviving militants before the teams could reach to the third floor in which he was hiding to rescue the child.”
Rahul said, “‘it is believed that Ali was also involved in civilian killings in Hajin”.
