Militant Killed In Shopian Encounter Identified

Shopian: A militant was killed in a brief shootout between government forces and militants at Amshipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday morning.

The slain militant has been identified as Ishfaq Sofi from Sopore. He was affiliated with ISJK militant group.

As a precautionary measure, authorities have snapped down mobile internet services in Shopian and Sopore districts.

Meanwhile, authorities have issued an order to close down all Schools, Government Higher Secondary Schools and Government Degree Colleges (both Government and Private) in North Kashmir’s Sopore township on Friday (10th May, 2019) as a precautionary measure. (City FM JK)
