Militant killed in ongoing gunfight in north Kashmir’s Hajin

Bandipora: A militant was killed in an ongoing gunfight with the government forces in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Thursday, police said.

Reports said that the gunfight broke out today afternoon following a search operation launched by the forces in Mir Mohalla locality.

A top police official told that one militant was killed in the gunfight. He said his associate is still hiding in the house where the gunfight broke out.

Reports said a 12-year-old boy is also trapped inside the house. A police official said that several other civilians who were stuck in the house after the gunfight broke out were rescued.
