Militant Accused Of Shujaat Bukhari’s Assassination Among Slain In Bijbehara Gunfight: Police
Srinagar: The militants killed in a gunfight at Sutkipora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district include Azad Malik, who police claim was involved in the assassination of journalist Shujaat Bukhari in Srinagar.
Police sources confirmed to Kashmir Reader that Azad Malik of Arwani in Bijbehara has been slain in the gunfight.
The sketchy details available with Kashmir Reader suggest that the slain militants include Hizb and Lashkar recruits.
Bukhari, was leaving his office in Srinagar when three assailants riding on a motorcycle shot him and two of his bodyguards.
