MeT predicts fresh spell of rain from March 31 to April 2
Srinagar: The MeT section of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday predicted fresh spell of rain from March 31 to April 2.
A weatherman here said that currently weather is generally cloudy in Ladakh and Kashmir and mainly clear in Jammu region.
“A fresh spell of intermittent light to moderate rain in plains and snowfall over higher reaches of J&K and Zojila, Drass and some areas of Zanskar region of Ladakh is most likely during March 31 night April to 2 Forenoon.
He said that as usual, it may led to landslides in Banihal-Ramban axis of Jammu -Srinagar National Highway.
Thunderstorm with strong gusty winds of the order of 30-40 KMPH is also likely during above period, he said and added, “in view of this, farmers are informed to postpone spraying of their orchards, prepare drainage to drain excess water from their fields”.
