Maulana Dawoodi Condemns Shujaat Bukhari’s Killing, Demands Independent Probe Into His Killing

Anantnag, Jun 16: Chief Patron of Tehreek E Soutul Awliya J&K has strongly condemned the killing of Rising Kashmir Chief Editor, Shujaat Bukhari & has demanded independent probe into his killing.

While delivering his Friday sermon, he said that, “Killing of an journalist in an broad daylight is a threat to whole community of journalists. If it is he today, it can be anyone tomorrow.

The situation in Kashmir is worsening day by day & we are losing our talented intellectuals. It is the direct murder of humanity & human values”.

“An attack on press is an attack on the voice pf people & there should be no compromise on supressing the voice of people”, he added

Meanwhile, Allama Dawoodi has demanded an independent probe into the killing of Shujaat Bukhari.

However after Friday prayers, special prayers were held for Shujaat Bukhari.
