Massive Anti-Terror Raids in Kashmir Valley: 10 Suspects Rounded Up in CID-CIK Operation Targeting JeM Recruitment Network
Srinagar | July 19, 2025
In a major counter-terrorism operation, the Criminal Investigation Department’s Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CID-CIK) unit conducted raids at ten locations across four districts—Pulwama, Ganderbal, Srinagar, and Budgam—on Saturday.
The coordinated raids were carried out as part of an ongoing investigation into a terror recruitment and financing module linked to the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM).
According to sources, the module is being operated by a key JeM commander/handler code-named Abdullah Ghazi, who is believed to be functioning from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in close collaboration with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The handler has been in direct contact with several youth in the Kashmir Valley, reportedly attempting to radicalize and recruit them into the ranks of JeM.
During the raids, a large volume of incriminating documents and digital devices were recovered. So far, 10 suspects have been detained for questioning and further investigation.
A senior official from CID-CIK stated, “The operation is part of our sustained effort to dismantle terror networks and choke recruitment pipelines. JeM operatives are being closely monitored, and those aiding them in any capacity will face strict legal action.”
This operation underscores the increasing vigilance and proactive approach of J&K Police and intelligence agencies in neutralizing Pakistan-backed terror modules operating within the Valley.
