Man shot dead in Shopian village, forces launch searches to nab assailants
Srinagar, March 27: A man was shot dead by suspected militants at Kachdoora village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday afternoon.
Tanveer Ahmad Dar son of Mohammad Abdullah Dar of Bemnipora Shopian was fired upon by masked gunmen beleived to be militants near Masjid Noor at Kachdoora village this afternoon.
A police officer told GNS that Dar was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Soon after the incident a joint team of army and SOG launched a cordon-and-search operation in the area to nab the assailants. (GNS)
