Lockdown restrictions reimposed in Sopore after rise in Covid-19 cases
Sopore, june 27: After an unlock period, lockdown and restrictions reimposed in north kashmir’s sopore town on Saturday following a spurt in the number of cases.
In sopore Markets were complete shut and public transport were off the roads, with only pharmacies allowed to open, however security forces have sealed off the main roads in most places of town and installed barriers to enforce lockdown, officials said
DC baramulla in a statement said that, In view of yesterday’s 25 positive cases from service providers of Sopore market, it has become exceedingly imperative to go for a massive sanitation drive in whole markets and public places which is not possible while shops are open and vendors are on roads.
As agreed by stakeholders and in the larger interest of people, it is hereby ordered that there shall be complete lockdown enforcement in Sopore town from Saturday.
