LJP elects its body in Jammu and Kashmir, Er Sahil Bashir Bhat elected as President

Srinagar, July 24: On the directions of Delhi party high command and change in leadership at central level, J&K LJP has elected its fresh body in the Union Territory.
As per statement issued here, the LJP national spokesperson Sanjay Saraf, the working committee of J&K met here on 24 June. While interacting with media persons Saraf told that the development took place as Top level leadership through out country was changed by proper elections as per constitution of party.
Later, the working committee held elections to various posts under the supervision of independent observers.
Er Sahil Bashir Bhat was elected to the post of J&K LJP president. Bhat who also holds the post of LJP official spokesperson of J&K, defeated his opponent with 37 votes.
Vimal Manchanda was elected to the post of General Secretary for J&K.
Anita Chandpuri as womens wing President and Sanjay Raina as Chairman Parliamentry Board.
The other leaders who got elected to various posts include Ajaz Ahmad Sofi, the sitting SMC corporator, as Provincial president Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Baba and Ashiq Hussain as State Secretaries. Both Baba and Hussain are also sitting SMC Corporators.
Similarly, separate polls held for various posts include district presidents and district secretaries Khursheed Ahmad and Iqbal Zargar were elected.
