LG Manoj Sinha Expresses Grief Over Loss of CRPF Jawans in Udhampur Accident
Calls for Best Medical Care for Injured Personnel
Srinagar, Aug 7 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of CRPF personnel in a road accident near Udhampur, terming their sacrifice as exemplary.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the LG Sinha as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC wrote, “Saddened by loss of CRPF personnel due to an accident near Udhampur. We will never forget their exemplary service to the nation. My thoughts are with bereaved families. Praying for speedy recovery of injured.”
He further informed that he has directed senior officials to provide the best possible care and assistance to the injured personnel and the families of the deceased.
Earlier in the day, a vehicle of 187 Battalion CRPF carrying 18 personnel skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Kadwa area of Udhampur, leaving at least three jawans dead and several others seriously injured.
Rescue operations are underway and the situation is being closely monitored by authorities. (KNC)
