LG Innaugurates NIT Srinagar’s Guest House, Sports Facilities

SRINAGAR — The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Saturday inaugurated guest house and sports facilities at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar.

He said that he had a wonderful interaction with the faculty members of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar. He also talked about impact of technology on society and role of institutes like NIT in providing valuable human resources to the industry.

He said that the technological advancement, innovation is an essential driver of economic growth and social welfare.

Technology-enabled innovation and consistent adoption of new technologies is needed to meet the future challenges of Industrial Growth, Energy Security & Urbanization, he said.

He further said that NIT Srinagar has done a commendable job in exploring new ideas to improve the lives of people.

He further added that it is collective responsibility of mentors & students to harness the power of ideas, enable a culture that supports innovation & bridge the gap between Industry & Academia. — (KIMS)
