LeT militant associate arrested in Awantipora; arms, ammunition recovered: Police
Pulwama: Security forces arrested militant associate of proscribed outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba from Noorpora area of Awantipora.
He was involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the LeT militant as well as in transporting of arms/ ammunition of the militants in Tral, Kakpora, Khrew and Awantipora areas.
He has been identified as Sahil Farooq Mir, a resident of Chakoora village in Pulwama district.
Incriminating material including explosive material and ammunition has been recovered from him.
A case FIR number 92/2020 stands registered against him in Police Station Awantipora under relevant sections of law.
