Labourers body fished out from Jhelum in Kakapora
Pulwama: A dead body of a 20-year-old labourer was fished out from river Jhelum in Kakapora area of Pulwama district on Wednesday afternoon.
The labourer identified as Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, Son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Larow Kakapora was drowned in a river Jhelum near Kernabal Kakapora while extracting sand from the river along with group of men.
Soon after the incident, locals jumped into the river to save him, but they could only retrieve his body after searches.
The body will be handed over to the family for last rites after all medico formalities are completed.
