Labourer drowns in Jhelum in Kakapora, rescue operation launched
Pulwama: A labourer on Wednesday morning was drowned in a river Jhelum in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said, a 20-year-old labourer identified as Irshad Ahmad Sheikh, Son of Bashir Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Larow Kakapora slipped into river Jhelum while extracting sand with group of men.
Soon after the incident, rescue operation was launched to retrieve the body. The rescue operation was underway when this report was filed.
