Kulgam Gunfight: Two militants killed, operation over

Kulgam, June 13: Two militants were killed in a gunfight that broke out between militants and government forces at Nipora village in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on
Saturday.

Officials said that all the two militants have been killed and their identification and affiliation is being ascertained.

Earlier, government forces including 19 RR, SoG and CRPF had launched cordon and search operation in area after specific inputs about hiding of militants in the area.

The hiding militants opened fire on search party which was retaliated, thus triggered encounter.

Meanwhile, authorities have snapped down Mobile internet service in Kulgam district as a precautionary measure.
